Global Shortcuts
These shortcuts work from anywhere on your Mac:

Overlay Shortcuts
When the Yark overlay is visible:

| Enter | Insert text at cursor |
| ⌘ C | Copy text to clipboard |
| ⌘ Enter | Insert and enhance with AI |
| Escape | Close overlay |
Customizing Shortcuts
- Go to Settings > Shortcuts
- Click on a shortcut to change it
- Press your desired key combination
- Click Save
Tips for Custom Shortcuts
- Use modifier keys (
⌘,⌥,⌃,⇧) to avoid conflicts - Avoid common system shortcuts
- Test your shortcuts in different apps to ensure compatibility
Function Keys
Yark can use function keys (F1-F12) as shortcuts. To use function keys without holding Fn:
- Open System Settings > Keyboard
- Enable "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"
Or keep the default behavior and use Fn + F1 etc.
